"I had a simple warranty issue with the transfer switch on my 22kw Generac generator. I called several other dealers in the area and all of them wanted to charge me a non-refundable "trip charge" to come and and fix the issue under warranty. Some were as high as $600. That didn't seem right to me, given that Generac also pays the dealer for the parts and their time to fix warranty issues. Essentially, these other dealers are double dipping. Very dishonest, in my opinion. Thankfully, I ended up calling 1st Coast Generators. They came out two days later and resolved the issue within 30 minutes. No charge. They were punctual, friendly, and a pleasure to work with. I guess I found the dealer I will be working with in the future should I need their services again."
